I have a new Dell PC with an ATI Radeon X1300, and I try to connect to my JVC HD-ILA TV to my receiver (a component has both inside and outside). Basically, I bought a DVI to component, the number of DIP switches on them, and I am not a picture on my TV during the launch. Sometimes I get one or two seconds of the video to see garbage, but then the screen is blank. I think I've tried all different combinations of DIP switch settings (16:9, 1080i, 720p, 480p, 480i). I think my last resort is to use an HDMI to DVI adapter and plug the right to buy on my TV, but not in a position to use my receiver as I do not prefer simplicity. Has anyone encountered this problem or have a suggestion, how to get my PC to my HDTV look through my receiver? Thank you!
